The Quilters Guild of East Texas is thrilled to announce the theme for our 2026 Quilt Show: Stitched in the Stars: Celebrating 250 Years of American Quilting & Creativity. The year 2026 marks the United States Semiquincentennial — 250 years since our nation’s founding. What better way to celebrate than with the timeless art of quilting, a craft that has been part of American life since the very beginning? Our theme highlights both the beauty of star quilts, inspired by our stunning Lone Star raffle quilt, and the enduring creativity of quilters across generations. This show will feature special exhibits, including:

The 2026 Raffle Quilt was pieced by Eleanor Edwards, Jasmine Andreasen, and the QGET Seams Close Bee and quilted by Jasmine Andreasen. The pattern is “Prismatic Star” by Judy Niemeyer. Raffle Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 and available for purchase through QGETX members or at our monthly guild meetings. Funds from the raffle quilt will benefit local charities. Enter Your Quilt!
We invite you to share your work in the Quilt Show. This is a judged show honoring the beauty and creativity of quilters from across East Texas and beyond. All entries must be received by Thursday, March 12, 2026. Quilts are due for drop-off on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM at the W. T. Brookshires Center.
You can submit your entry online through our new digital entry form, or use the paper form here. Each quilt entered will be judged by certified quilt show judges (with the exception of the non-judged category), with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention ribbons awarded in every category — plus special honors for Best in Show and Best Interpretation of Theme.

Quilters Guild of East Texas is a 503(c)3 non-profit organization. All proceeds support the Quilters Guild of East Texas continue to serve the quilting guild and our charitable activities.
