Please bring your lunch (or there are restaurants about 3 minutes from us) and your drinks for the day. There is a refrigerator and microwave for our use. Also, please bring an extension cord for your sewing machine and your current project. Come sew with us and have a great day of fellowship with fellow quilters! Looking forward to seeing you.

Originally started out as an applique group working on Baltimore album quilts. We have morphed into a group that enjoys all sorts of handwork. Our group is open because we meet in the Craft Room of First Baptist Church downtown (4^th floor, education building) and it is big, cool, and well-lit. We meet the first Thursday of the month at 9:30, stitch awhile, and then those who can go to lunch together. We teach each other a lot.

“Learn Reverse Applique' with Annie McHugs”

In the workshop, she will focus on cutting and aligning using the template, and on what to do and what not to do. She will show you the best practices and tips to make reverse appliqué easy. She will demonstrate various techniques, including sashings, border treatments, and binding alternatives, using her reverse appliqué method.

This is a technique workshop with the possibility of many different projects, as you will see.

Here are pictures of 3 examples using her techniques, including saving vintage linens.

This bee is for all new and existing guild members who want to sew/embellish garments or wearables with beads, applique, yarn, sequins, etc. to express their art.

There will be a nominal fee of $3 to $5 per meeting to help cover cost of utilities to be paid at the meeting,
